Staying In Your Lane, When You're Not Sure Where Your Lane Is

I am going to share some family housekeeping matters that I want to share with you, readers. I want to keep you engaged and make this a short episode. I want to let you know that I need you, my show family, to rate and review this show. If you are receiving good information that is helpful to you or to your business in any way at all, the algorithms need to hear from you. Wherever you're reading this, if you're able to rate and review the show, please do so. You can do that by going to the app where you're reading, and by rating by giving us as many stars as you possibly can. Also by reviewing and typing a few words about how the show has helped you if it's helped you. What you would like to hear and what we're doing really well, that would be helpful so that I know to give you more of that.

I would also like to ask if you're not subscribed on YouTube, if you could please do that. We do air each of these episodes on YouTube. In the future, there will be more coming on YouTube. You can watch me there. You can see me and the guest. Watch these interviews if you choose to do so. I also want to ask for you to help me to make the greatest impact on your business by providing an email. Email me, If you will email me and say, "Renee, here's my name. I'm a Gen Xer, Baby Boomer, Gen Z, Millennial,” whatever you are, let me know. Then tell me what topics would be helpful for you so that I can make sure that I'm providing guests, information, content, tools, tips and resources that fit with your business that makes the greatest impact on you, for your business and your life.

I know that I think some things would be important to you like ways to find passive income. It's important to focus on operations, team building, culture and having an exit strategy and a plan. Also on your motivation, mindset and money. Those are all things that I think are important, but if there is a topic that you know that you need to hear some content on and you're not getting it elsewhere, please let me know.

Yes, we want to be relevant, but we don't want to constantly try to beat the competition at their game.

There are a ton of podcasts out there about marketing, social media and many things that are real estate related. I want to provide you with the best of the best when it comes to team building, operations, and helping you build your back office so that you can exit production at some point in the future, whenever you're ready.

That's what we're all about here. I want to keep it focused there, and I want that focus to be on topics that you need to hear about. Please email me, That's it for now. I want to wrap up with a little bit of encouragement, an encouraging word for us about comparison. I know that a lot of us as ladies, we tend to compare ourselves to others, to other women and business owners. I heard it said best by Oprah Winfrey. I was watching her own autobiographical Master Class. If you've never seen it, it's great. She talked about staying in her lane when she created the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her producers were worried about beating Phil Donahue and all these other people who were coming in.

She talked about staying in her lane and beating her personal best because it takes so much energy to look to the left and to the right to see what other people are doing, that she wanted to make sure that she did the best in her own show that she could possibly do. I want you to think the same way. Rather than comparing yourself to other people, compare yourself to your numbers. Compare yourself to what you did months ago or what you did years ago.

Staying In Your Lane: We don't have to worry about competing with everyone else. We just want to put our best foot forward in everything that we do to do it with excellence.

We want to be innovative, to master technology and be relevant, but we don't want to constantly try to beat the competition at their game. Then our business would be all over the place if we're trying to do what everybody else is doing. We want to be laser-focused internally, and here are the things that we want to focus on. It's a very shortlist.

We want to improve our systems. We want to stack our team and recruit a handful of caring and hardworking agents. We want to invest in at least one passive income stream each year. We want to serve our clients and our community and finally, we want to serve our clients and our community with an excellent experience, anytime they interact with us, whether it's a presentation, following up or at a community event.

If we do that, if we do those things, we will be winning. We will be proud of the product that we are putting out because we'll be on top. We don't have to worry about competing with everyone else. We want to put our best foot forward in everything that we do, to do it with excellence. Surely, you won't have to worry about winning. The competition won't matter anymore if you do everything that you can to build systems, stack your team, invest in passive income streams and serve your clients and your community to the best of your ability. That's all you need to do and you will be winning.

Thank you for reading to this episode of the show. I know that it is super short, but I wanted to jump in really quick, give you some great encouragement and ask you please to put the word out about the show if we are helpful to you. I look forward to hearing from you soon at Have a great week, everybody.
